January 23, 2025, Washington, D.C. – Today, Senator Dave McCormick (R-Pennsylvania) voted to confirm John Ratcliffe as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

“In a world as dangerous as ours, America needs the strongest possible leadership at the CIA,” Senator Dave McCormick said. “John Ratcliffe is that leader. During his hearing, I appreciated that he promised to return the CIA to its core mission – to gather and share intelligence to protect our Nation from threats.  I look forward to working with Director Ratcliff to protect every Pennsylvanian.”

As a former U.S attorney, Member of Congress, and Director of National Intelligence during President Trump’s first Administration, Ratcliffe’s professional career has been devoted to public service. Ratcliffe has stated he will push the agency to adopt new technologies like artificial intelligence to ensure the highest level of intelligence on foreign countries and global issues.
